Lady Chargers Win on the Road

 

 

 

Muskegon, MI – The Ancilla College Lady Charger’s overcame a five-point halftime deficit to earn their first Michigan Community College Athletic Association game of the season with 74-67 win over Muskegon, one of the top teams in the conference.

 

Talia Bee led Ancilla (6-5, 1-3) with 21 points and she also had 13 rebounds. Jaela Meister finished with 14 points and 19 rebounds. Hadassah Harris came off the bench to score 13, while Emily Richard had 12. Kaylie Gayheart got her first start of the season and finished with nine points and five rebounds.

 

Ancilla held the Jayhawks (11-3, 3-2) for about the first four minutes of the third quarter and led 46-42 when Muskegon finally scored. Muskegon got the lead back briefly at the end of the third quarter, but Ancilla responded and was never headed after that point. The Lady Charger continued to rebound well, out rebounding the hosts 61-33.

 

The Lady Charger’s host Lake Michigan College on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the LifePlex in Plymouth.
