Maryland comes in off a win over Michigan State, 94-53, for its seventh-consecutive win on Monday night. They are led by Big Ten preseason Player of the Year Kaila Charles who averages 14.6 points and 7.7 rebounds. She’s one of five players averaging double figures as sophomore forward Shakira Austin, freshman guard Ashley Owusu and sophomore guard Taylor Mikesell all add 11 points per game. The Terps are leading the league in scoring this season, averaging 81.7 points per game

• Indiana comes in the winners of four-straight after reclaiming the Barn Burner Trophy for the fourth-straight season in a 66-54 win at Purdue. Redshirt junior guard Ali Patberg led the way with 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
• Patberg was one of 20 players named to the Wooden Award Late Season Watch List on Monday night. She was also named to the preseason and mid-season watch lists for the award, which honors women’s college basketball’s player of the year.
• IU’s defense held its 15th opponent of the season to 60 points or less in Monday’s win over the Boilermakers. Eight of its opponents have also been limited to under 50 points each, all resulting in wins this season.
• Thursday’s meeting will be the second between the two teams this season and the second time in series history the two teams have met twice in the regular season. The Hoosiers dropped the prior meeting on Jan. 20 in College Park, 76-62.
