MARION, Ind. – Small College Basketball has once again released it’s Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List, and for the third straight season, Kyle Mangas has earned a spot. Last season Mangas made the Top 25 list, the first time a Wildcat name appeared since 2016 when Jonny Marlin made the list. The committee chose these elite players from over 1,100 colleges and universities and took into consideration individual statistics, awards, milestones, and team success.

“To be named to this impressive list of players for the third consecutive time is quite the accomplishment for Kyle,” said head coach Greg Tonagel. “We obviously see the crazy numbers he puts up, but it’s his play in the clutch and his winning that makes him one of the nation’s elite.”

Collecting his 2,000 point against No. 9 Bethel University on January 4th, 2020, Mangas is averaging a season-best 27.1 points-per-game, four points better than last season. In addition to scoring the ball, Mangas is averaging 6.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, both career-best.

Mangas currently ranks No. 2 in the NAIA in total points scored (461), No. 3 in points-per-game (27.1) and No. 19 in total assists (76). In relation to NCAA basketball, Mangas has scored more points thus far than everybody but one person, who has also scored 461 points this season.

The Wildcats hit the court this Saturday in a clash with Grant County foe, Taylor University. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. The Wildcats are looking for their 17th straight win over the Trojans, who have two Top 25 wins in their last four games.
